Microsoft Design System

Principal Product Designer

In the Spring of 2019, I was hired by Microsoft to help unify the experience of Microsoft applications on mobile.

My team and I brought the Microsoft mobile design community together and created a shared design language and system based on the work I did at Outlook Mobile in the years prior.

In 2020, we released a redesign of our key applications on mobile (Outlook, OneDrive, Office, etc.). Our engagement went up and it was also a success for the company as we created a new way for designers and engineers to work together across teams and products.

Shortly after that release, our team of 5 took over the Microsoft Design System team (Fluent) and was tasked to accomplish the same goal but for key apps on larger screens (Windows, Mac, Web, etc.).
